3/11/2021 An Update on Ross Edmondson Just an update on Ross. I visited him in hospital today. Apart from a few chest and face wounds he's traveling well and in good spirits. He has a bit of bleeding on the brain and looks like he will have to have a pace maker fitted, depending on more tests. Ross will be in hospital till Monday next week ???. Wollongong hospital are only allowing close family, one at a time, and only nominated friends with limited calls. If anyone wants to know how Ross is doing please get in touch with me, evening times please. If any members can help, please contact the board. The Club Calender can now be found in the members area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 28/9/2020 This weekend is a POETS weekend. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of Oct. The gate will be open around lunch time on Friday. Last member to leave on Monday must insure everything is locked, and the hot water urn in the kitchen is turned off. This is a members and wifes/partners only event. All dogs must be on leads at all times. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 12/9/2020 The AGM was held last weekend. Thanks to Derek and Frank for accepting the nominations from the floor, as no one had been nominated. Next weekend is a POETS weekend. 18th,19th and the 20th of Sept. The gate will be open around lunch time on Friday. This is a members and wifes/partners only event. On friday the 7th of Feb we had our 1st shed night for 2020. A huge thank you must go to Andrew Scobie and his colleague Chris for putting on a fabulous night. We were very busy until about 12:30, then the wait time wasnt very long. A great day was had by all. I big thank you to all the members for helping out. I took some photos of the Loco's, can be found on the picture page. Also the tunnel crew has finished covering the outside. Will be great when the vegetation grows over it. Nothing major was talked about. I'll put the minutes up when I recieve them. The tunnel crew started putting up the shade cloth over the tunnel today.. The weather held off and we sold 1,100 train ride tickets. What a great turn out and fun day had by everyone. Trains ran flat out until about 1 oclock with the last train leaving the platform at 1:45 Only 1 loco had trouble ,but the steamers saved the day.
